Hope Hospital

Health Education Campus converted to Hope Hospital

In April 2020, Cleveland Clinic completed the temporary conversion of the main building (Samson Pavilion) of the Health Education Campus into a COVID-19 surge hospital in the event Cleveland Clinic needed more space to care for patients with COVID-19 during the pandemic. The facility, named Hope Hospital, included 327 patient beds for low-acuity COVID-19 patients who do not require ventilators or large amounts of oxygen.

Ohio did not experience a COVID-19 patient surge and, thus, Cleveland Clinic began disassembling Hope Hospital in June 2020.
